Is just having a music file online...?

Is just having a music file online that's not playing make a game lag?

I think so, but its anoying because it takes longer to load

due to pop. request, scrolling tutorial

If it's not actually playing, it won't lag. However it will slow the load time to a crawl

I usually have two versions of a game. One with music and one without (eg LampLighter)
