The 2011 Scratch OS Contest is here! There is some improvement- last year's competition was unfair because fg123 was moved from 2nd place to 1st place tie because he requested. Now, you get what you get. Also, last year had a LOT of organization problems- only the finalists and winners received judge comments, but not the other participants. This year we hope to fix all these problems and make the competition larger and better.

COMPETITION RULES AND GUIDELINES:
*OSs MUST be submitted by the deadline, which is JULY 29, 2011. By that time, I will probably get a mod to close the topic and you will not be able to enter the competition.
*OSs MUST are to be submitted by replying in THIS forum thread, and should be a link, e.g. Sample OS. If you just mention it and do not post a link, it will be too time consuming to search the whole Scratch website for it.
*OSs are judged by quality. In this competition we will see the following aspects:
-OS is realistic, clean, and user-friendly
-OS contains little (if not, no) glitches
-OS has a good GUI (not just super quick mouse-drawn renderings of icons done on the Paint Editor, but actual effort)
*OSs cannot contain inappropriate content, e.g. songs with profanity, "web-pages" with explicit content, or anything else similar to that.
*You may drop out any time before the deadline if you want.
*YOUR OS MUST BE YOUR OWN ORIGINAL, AND NOT REMIXED!!!!! I WILL STILL ACCEPT PROJECTS THAT WERE BUILT ON THE SYN PLATFORM, OR ANY OTHER OS BASE/PLATFORM, BUT NO DIRECTLY REMIXING OTHERS PROJECTS.
*Previous winners canNOT enter the competition, in order to make the competition fairer. Plus, this is also an oppritunity for new/less popular Scratchers (rising stars), so it wouldn't be very fair for some well-known/experienced Scratcher to win all the time.

I will not put any of my own Scratch OSs for obvious reasons.

This is a very prestigious competition! Scratchers like 08jackt, fg123, and ThePCKid have attended this competition (08jackt and fg123 have gotten first places, and ThePCKid finished in second)  Now, let's hope that a rising star will take their place.
