Graphics person needed

Hello!

I am the head of Butterfly Tree, which is a collaboration I've been working on with some other Scratchers. The goal of this project is to merge cool animation with fun gameplay.
We're to the point where we can start animating, but I need someone who can make the animation graphics. I already have someone who can animate those, as well as a near complete script. All this can be found by clicking my signature picture.

What you would have to make:

• Costumes for the sprites for fluid animation
•Animation backgrounds

You would have to keep in contact with our animator in case he/she needs anything else.

If you can do this, please let me know! You would be listed as a member of the collab and will get credit on the final project.

Thanks!

That would be great! Now that we've been thinking about this more often, our animator may need a lot of costumes for the animation. Would you still be up for this?

Thanks so much for your interest!  smile

Re: Graphics person needed

Silvershine, maybe we can program the animation in another scratch project, then record it and save it as an animated gif somehow? I'm sure there are programs that do that.  Then we can import them into scratch.

I like that idea! I'll edit the graphics to-do list and add that. The only thing we should keep in mind is that we may have to import the costumes one by one... maybe we can find a way around that.

Re: Graphics person needed

You can import the costumes all at once.  It is getting a new sprite that will only get one costume.  I have not tried it with backgrounds, but worse-case-scenario we will drag each one from a sprite to the stage, or more likely, we won't use them as backgrounds, but rather we will use the sprite and put it in front of everything else.  Also, I think anything that is black will not be imported. That means any pixel, but it could be just with pivot. (if they export black wrong)  Could have to do with the way gifs are saved.

What LiquidMetal was talking about is that the grass texture we're currently using doesn't really fit with the look of everything else. Eventually we will get it to scroll, but we want to get a better look first. If you could do that, that would be awesome!

Re: Graphics person needed

Okay(: Works for me, I will work on that! I have never done any nature projects, but I intend to do good! My laptop is in repair currently, (virus/crash) so I hope I can get it done with an alternative program than photoshop, I will try using paint.net.

Re: Graphics person needed

Okay,
I did the grass background for the scroll, if you don't like it, PERFECTLY fine with me(: It was easy/fun to make! So, I added the grass, the previous one I tried was too dark, so I went with a lighter color for the grass to match the bushes.  If you don't like it, just tell me, I won't take it personally! Haha, here is the link to the project.

Hope you like it!

Re: Graphics person needed

We need a few things for graphics, but there isn't any rush!

•A costume of Leo laying face-up
•A little icon of Leo we can use so that when his text box comes up, there is a picture of him so the player knows who's talking
•We will eventually need a title screen, even though the current one is incredible... Ok maybe not...  tongue  I just wanted to give you a heads-up about this since it might be a big deal!

Thanks again for all your help so far!

EDIT: LiquidMetal says you are working on a new overhead sprite for Leo. Is this true? Just curious!  smile
