I would love being a curator and I think I would be good at it too.

Dear Members of the Scratch Team,
My name is scratchlive and I have been on scratch for several months. I have seen a lot of good unnoticed or unviewed projects, but I think that these projects should be shown to the scratch community. If I were to become curator I would ensure that I would give these lesser known projects a shot at becoming known. I would feature all kinds of projects, I would show any thing from a game to a book. I would spend several days before becoming curator to really search out and find these projects. I would start a forum for some ideas and even ask individual scratchers which projects they think should be featured, so this way the scratch community is choosing the projects not just one person. I would also give other projects a chance, instead of keeping one piticular project on for the whole two weeks, I would give each project a time period so this way I can ensure that I show several lesser known but excellent project. Remember scratch team before picking someone else just give me a thought.
Thank You!

I would like to become curator at some point in my life, please. What makes projects interesting to me is their use of good ideas, scientific facts, and complete pointlessness. I have several extremely good projects in my favorites, and very few of them are all that noticed. I am a Wiki editor, am an almost constant poster on forums, and I am an advanced programmer (I like to edit the squeak code of scratch), and I have been attempting to get blocks into the block library.

I want to be curator. I would choose projects with good scripting, few or no glitches, and is just awsome. I wont just choose a project with a few views, or a lot of views, just whatever is great.

I guess I'll try entering again...
I really want to be the curator. I've seen tons of projects out there that are really awesome, but they have hardly any views or love-its. These projects need to be noticed - By the way, I add the ones I see to my favorites. Now that it's Summer, I can spend a lot of time looking through projects and picking ones I like. I will mostly look through the newest projects for good stuff, so that someone will become famous instantly.

Interested in applying to be a Scratch curator?
We choose curators that represent the diversity of the Scratch Community - girls, boys, gamers, storytellers, animators - Scratchers of all kinds! We especially like to choose Scratchers who have been helpful and contributing members of the Scratch community.
When applying to be curator, it's good to give some thought to the kind of projects you'd like to show. "Cool projects that most people have never seen!" is a nice idea, but it doesn't really give us a good sense of what you like and why. We want to know what makes a project interesting to you.
Try viewing the projects in your favorites, and see if you can find a theme that describes them. Talk about that theme in your post on this thread, and consider providing a few links to good examples of that theme.
For example, I really like projects that use sound input from the microphone to draw interesting designs on the screen. Here's an example of one that I recently added to my favorites: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/MitFan/874786

I'd like being a curator, because not only will I be able to put what I think deserves it on the front page, I'll also be able to help tons of scratchers.

Hi, I am rainbowgirl433. I am interested in being a curator. I love dress up games, but I also enjoy cool and humorous animations, and games that are well thought out and that are fun to play.

I would love to become a curator. I see games, really good games, all the time, from 3D shooters to side-scrolling beat-them-ups, with less than 5 views. The fact that I can't do much to help these games be seen and loved annoys me. I enjoy a huge variety of games and just wish to let scratchers play on the hidden gems hiding on the website.

I would like to become a curator, if possible, please.
I have a very big range of favorite projects. Some of my favorite ones are animations and games. I know there aren't many animated projects that are curated, so I would like to bring back more animations. Please consider me as a curator! Thanks!

Dear Scratch Community,
I have been apart of the Scratch community for years now, and love Scratch and their mission! I would love to become curator, and feature those projects who are more unknown. I would give fair credit, and being a part of the Scratch community has taught me to move into bigger computer fields such as video editing, photoshop, app creating, and flash and website creations. Scratch has taught me so much and I have grown up with Scratch for years now. I am aware that my account has been inactive, and I have has some "faults" but you must not judge me based off when I was younger I am currently creating more amazing projects and already have a wide base of projects now, and have been featured several times. I ask that you please consider me, and being a part of the Scratch community for so long, I know real and good animations. I love to educate people, and can notice a talent when I see one! Please shoot me back a message, I would love to hear from you!
Sincerely,
An old, yet young, Scratcher,
MKR
