Bug in the Project Share Process

There is some unpleasant new behavior (ie: a bug) in the Share process.  It appears that if you share a project with a given name and then delete that project from the web site, subsequent attempts to share the project with the original name will result in a silent error.  You get the usual "Your project is now online" but, in fact, it does not seem to be there.  It does not show up in New Projects and it does not show up in your My Stuff area, even after clearing the browser cache.

The workaround that I have used is to Share it with a temporary name, then rename it back to the original name on the web site.

Re: Bug in the Project Share Process

What you do is upload it as a different file name as what it is supposed to be called, then go to the project online and change the name back to what it is supposed to be.

i'm not sure if its fixed yet. but it happened to me 2 days ago. Although it wasn't there, if you type in the name of it in the search bar, it still comes up on the page, it just gives u a blank page

Dear Scratch Users,
I'm done with scratch, or at least making projects. I have made one last big game, thats both fun and teaches a lesson about water. It'd mean a lot if you gave me feedback.                              http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bosox397/569201

bosox397: what is the name of the project? It would be great if you could try to reproduce the problem again and tell us how you did  smile

Re: Bug in the Project Share Process

It happened to me today/yesterday. I uploaded a project titled "Test" which I do often. It never appeared, so I added some numbers to the end and it worked. Today, I was looking through my projects and find a project titled "Test" in the middle of the list and it said to be made 8 months or so ago.

Same thing happened to me. I cannot upload a project with the name "test" Any longer. Although the last time I tried was a week ago.
