Cool!
And just for the heads-up, I'll be interviewing DucksINC, creator of Swifty2 spoofs, soon.
EDIT: I just purposely gave the forum its 1400th view by going to the previous page and forward.![]()
Since he hasn't responded yet, I may put a post on the forums asking people if they want to be interviewed.
You can interview me if you like...

That's quite a good idea- maybe all of the members of Scratchazine be interviewed?

Ah, I see, only one inerview per issue. Got it. The magazine's weekly now? By the way, do you think you can add a section in the next issue that kind of advertises my video game music shop? You don't have to.

It's nice.
Can I set up a post on the show and tell and ask if anybody would like to get interviewed for Scratchazine?

Here's my paragraph:
Some more users have joined the community! GLADOS2, Envision, and CynthiaMango are some of the new members who use Scratch! For more new scratchers, check out the New Scratchers section of the Scratch Forums!
eRKSToCK has just released his newest game in the Ninja Roy series. It's Ninja Roy: Ninja Renegade! Ninja Roy: Ninja Renegade combines action, scrolling, fighting, and... of course... NINJAS!! You should stop by and look at it!
Also, undefeatedgames has released the sequel to his wildly-acclaimed contest. This time, you get to create a video game console! Entries will be accepted until 7/4/2011. victorygames has announced a Make A Logo Contest as well.
Nothing has been announced of Scratch 2.0 yet... but we're hoping it will come out the end of the year!
Stay tuned for more news at Scratchazine!

How to get engine sounds and manual transmission in a Scratch project

Okay, so you have your project. You have a car sprite and a background. You want to put in engine sounds and a manual gearbox. (NOTE: This also works with motorcycles or anything else that needs engine sounds). Create 3 variables, one for RPMs, one for Velocity and one for the Gear speed.
Create scripts that calculate the velocity via RPM x Gear. Add a script that makes the car move according to velocity. Add a script that changes RPM when accelerator (usually up arrow or space) is pressed and lowers the rpm when the accelerator is not pressed. Define some keys for gear change. (I used “w” for gear up and “s” for gear down). When the gear is changed up decrease the RPM by a set value and change the Gear variable by +1. When the gear is changed down increase the RPM by a set value and change the Gear variable by -1.
To create the realistic engine sound, create a script saying forever play note
(rpm/(set value)). Set the instrument to gunshot for a hard but powerful engine sound and fretless bass (finger) for a softer more tamed engine sound.
You may like to simply show the variables as they are or convert them into instruments. This is not covered in this article. To look at an example see my “ Drift Car with Engine Sounds Manual Transmission” project.
What about this one? Why wasn't this in issue 3?
