Autotuned deathcore/screamo/electronic/experimental band Design the Skyline has recently been signed to Victory Records, which has/had some good artists (A Day To Remember, Taking Back Sunday, Thursday), even though it has some really bad ones (Aiden, William Control), despite no direction, autotuned clean vocals and lame screams, hilariously ridiculous lyrics, and wasted potential.
They're released a video for their song "Surrounded With Silence", and it's very amusing. It's going to appear on their debut album Neveh (why they are choosing that title is beyond my knowledge).
Well, here is the "Surrounded With Silence" video by Design the Skyline. Don't say I didn't warn you.
So what did you think? Love it? Hate it? Laughed at it? Cryed at it? Click "post reply" and tell me how you feel about Design the Skyline's single and video "Surrounded by Silence".

So it's a nice computerized intro... and then what the hell? (Pardon my language.) A guy starts screaming?!?! These people are nuts.
It's also actually very funny.

Someone kill me, I had to stop after like 10 seconds of the screaming, that was awful.

They can call themselves musicians, jacky. It is music, even if you don't like it.
It has a nice tune, but isn't fun to listen too, has bad voices(to be fair they are strong) and the song seems to be more rhyme than song, because it doesn't have a chorus
Through the forest
climbing trees
swinging vines
with the breeze.
Adventuring through a mystic forest,
I'm trying hard to hold on to, these vines of life that break through you.
The bliss of natures kiss saves me from my black abyss.
I taste the salt drip onto my lips,
missing the touch of your finger tips.
Pacing back to and fro I don't know where to go.
I'm so lost.
Fragile like paper, elastic as rubber,
my heart searches for another.
Oxygen in the air breathes into my soul.
Where they fall divides us all,
shows your scares and reads disgrace,
this careless life,
everyday before this day you let the earth fade away.,
now with vines holding tight you finally see the light.
This care this care this care this careless,
life we live we live we live we live
Trying to hold on to these vines that
break through you!
Tangled
thorns piercing your heart.
The pain
has just begun to start.

Okay, first: pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease don't call me "Jacky", "Jackie", or any variation.
Second: Fine, it's music, and the lyrics are decent. But thanks to their indiscernible screaming, I couldn't even understand them! (The lyrics.)

Skip to the last 30 seconds of the video, and it's pretty hilarious. They're screamming "eeeeeeeee" and "oooooooohhhh" over and over again.

Well, those aren't the worst lyrics ever, but they are slightly ridicoulous.

Yes, but that's not why they're ridiculous.

Why then?
Not having traditional song structure doesn't make a song bad. The lyrics just seem very silly, and something you'd expect from a 13 year old boy.

As a 13 year old boy that has written songs, I'm offended.

The Keyboard and Drums were the best. Guitar & Bass were run of the mill, and the singer was...ok in some parts, but horrible in others.
The song changed tone too much.

The intro is simply awesome, so is the drumming. But the song seems pretty incoherent, seems like someone just took the electronic intro, the screaming part and the autotuned part and put them together. Lol, electropopcore.
