How do you flip someone in a project?

Guys, i have seen it done before. Where the script is <if><key[  ]pressed?> <point in direction(-90) or point in direction 90. When i try to do point in direction -90, it always goes upside down, however, when other people do that, if just flips itself. Does anyone know how to get it to just flip itself? or is it immpossible?

Dear Scratch Users,
I'm done with scratch, or at least making projects. I have made one last big game, thats both fun and teaches a lesson about water. It'd mean a lot if you gave me feedback.                              http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bosox397/569201

To the left of the sprite's name there are three little symbols. One that looks like a looped arrow, one horizontal arrow with 2 points, and a square. Click the horizontal arrow with 2 points.
