Don't all of the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?You're forgetting about something though.
Some people are just selfish and think they have the fastest computer to play scratch games online, and they think that when it doesn't work online, it's right to make it impossible to play online, and tell everybody that you have to download it. I hate it because it probably will work online.
My computer isn't that great, and my projects still explode online. 
Well, I do mention that downloading improves the quality... but I say it like this:
Download for better quality, NOT to give more downloads.
But during the time of Top Downloaded, I can't remember that happening...

i do agree, but i think the main reason they took it away is beacuse during that time i remember a guy have gotten top downloaded about a project that you have to download to see. It was a tutorial on how to make your project have to be downloaded. and if you have to download something, thats kinda cheating.

The Top Downloaded section was removed because Scratchers discovered that you could download your own project multiple times.
Plus, it's still there. It's just hidden. I think you can find it through some search. ;-)

There's a difference between downloads and remixes, because 1,000 people might download it and only 3 people might remix it. See my point? I say keep Top Remixed and add Top Downloaded to the home page.
