Agreed.
What I sometimes do is Copy it before I click Submit, so if it erases, I can just Paste.

When you hit the back button (either one), all of your work is gone.

One time I was actually glad to get the disappearing text glitch thing. I was upset about something and I typed up a harsh rant about it :b, but then it all disappeared when I tried to post. It actually helped me realize posting what I typed before would have been a mistake.
