Bump: what's it mean?

i see forum posts w/ a topic post and then "bump". what?

Bump means to "bump" a topic back up. Basically, it brings the thread up to the front page.

A similar thing out there is 'necroposting': the process of bumping an old, often outdated thread with no reason.
