I love Nintendo for all their retro systems (N64, SNES, GBA) but am admittedly a little disappointed with their offerings lately. The DS is a fine handheld, but the Wii's selection is not the best, and you can't do much in terms of media with it unless you add homebrew.
I'm pretty neutral about Microsoft, at least in terms of consoles. The Xbox 360 is a fine console, but I haven't used it much. I love Windows 7 though. (Hey, it's a gaming platform!)
Of course, I really hate Sony, mainly for the way they've been handling the PS3 situation. Removing Linux, constant updates to haggle jailbreakers, suing Geohot, even demanding information on every user who watched a YouTube video on how to jailbreak the console. Yeah, I'm pretty mad at Sony right now.

Anyone have opinions on MY opinion? It took a while to do some research too :p

OK HERE ARE MY OPINIONS:
Gamecube and NES were amazing. Good buttons, i guess, and the gameplay was cool on almost all the games. They were the turning point for Nintendo. The Wii was ahead of the PS and XBOX at the time, but could not follow through when PS and XBOX made PS3 and XBOX360. They focused on wasting their time with the handhelds with the DSi and DSiXL's. The 3DS and the Vita are advancements of the DS and PSP, so Nintendo and PS are tied their. XBOX is left out many times because they havent made any new products mostly. No handhelds. Reason? They haven't had to. XBOX has gotten so far by itself. Nintendo haas to match with PS and XBOX with the Wii U. The Wii U is the next generation if the PS and XBOX cannot put out anything better. If they can't, then the Wii U is just the Wii's counter to the PS3 and XBOX360, which is a little late. the PS Move is a copy of the Wii. The Kinect is in it's own category, so give it credit for that. It's quality, not quantity.
THE RANKS
1. Microsoft
2. Sony
3. Nintendo, which might move up if the Wii U lives up to its expectations, which it probably will by the looks of it...

PS3, because the way it handles game engines is very unique and is easy to program with. Using six mini processors to handle 1 item each, like physics, is very clever.
And Wii, no offence, isn't 7th Gen. It can't handle a 7th Gen engine, though credit to it's motion controls. But yeah - the Wii is about 6.5th Gen.

Microsoft doesn't have any what?
ONTOPIC: I say PlayStation FTW! I have about 2 PS2s, a dying NES, a PS one and a N64. The NES kept on giving me the GSOD every time the machine got even a very slight vibration (Nintendo says cartridge holder problem), the N64 was excellent but it requires rather bulky add-ons to save or vibrate the controller, I didn't have any PS1 games for the PS one but out of all those it was the PS2 that pwn'd in gaming.
So, PS2 is the bomb!

It is behind PS3 and XBOX360.
The Wii U matches up with those.
