Please discuss your opinions nicely here instead of on other topics. You may politely counter someones statement, but don't be like "OLOLOLOL XBOX 360 RULEZ PS3 FAILS!!!!!" or "LOL WII IS STOOPID!!!!!!!!!!11!!!". Please give reasons why you think one is better.
(Notice how I pretty much copied the above from my Windows VS Mac thread
)
You can discuss what is the best and worst of consoles, handhelds, even game selection.

Microsoft has the least amount of products, but it's because they've gotten so far with just one.

Sony has been much more appealing to me over the years than Nintendo has been. I think Nintendo has lost it's zeal, and the gimmicks don't help. Gonna be a hopeful day one Vita owner as well.

OK HERE ARE MY OPINIONS:
Gamecube and NES were amazing. Good buttons, i guess, and the gameplay was cool on almost all the games. They were the turning point for Nintendo. The Wii was ahead of the PS and XBOX at the time, but could not follow through when PS and XBOX made PS3 and XBOX360. They focused on wasting their time with the handhelds with the DSi and DSiXL's. The 3DS and the Vita are advancements of the DS and PSP, so Nintendo and PS are tied their. XBOX is left out many times because they havent made any new products mostly. No handhelds. Reason? They haven't had to. XBOX has gotten so far by itself. Nintendo haas to match with PS and XBOX with the Wii U. The Wii U is the next generation if the PS and XBOX cannot put out anything better. If they can't, then the Wii U is just the Wii's counter to the PS3 and XBOX360, which is a little late. the PS Move is a copy of the Wii. The Kinect is in it's own category, so give it credit for that. It's quality, not quantity.
THE RANKS
1. Microsoft
2. Sony
3. Nintendo, which might move up if the Wii U lives up to its expectations, which it probably will by the looks of it...

Wii had a 7.5, it was Wii Motion+.
Nintendo Wins hands down.
Reason: SNES had Earthbound and Final Fantasy IV-VI. GBA has Mother 3, one of the greatest games of all time. N64 had Ocarina of Time. Gamecube had countless great games. Wii had Okami. Nintendo is also the master of First Party, none of the others come close. Microsoft doesn't have any, and Sony only has God of War and LBP.

Well, to be honest, I like Sony and/or microsoft...
Nintendo was good until PS3 and Xbox360 came along, then it flunked (although it's becoming better with the 3ds and wii u.
Microsoft has excellent systems. The xbox 360 has fantastic graphics and good hardcore games...
Sony is good, it has a lot of games for everyone, and I like it.

The 3DS, the SNES and the Wii U are the three greatest consoles ever created in my opinion. Thus, one vote for Nintendo. Nintendo also has many great games without having needless gore that games for the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 are so fond of.

I remember there was a lot of threads about this a while back, but I ended it all in one post

Just wanted to point out that Xbox has the Halo series, Gears of War 2 and 3, and Alan Wake.
I own an Xbox 360, a Wii, a DS Lite, and a PSP. I am saving up my money for a PS3 and hope to get the PS Vita and the 3DS (it's about time to update my handhelds.) PS Vita is going to be the best handheld out there.

Have you seen some of the games announced for it at E3? Almost half of them are rated M for blood, gore, and language.

Those are actually third party developed.

LBP is third party.
And Halo is not third party, Microsoft is continuing it with a new company.

Alright, but my point stands. Nintendo is way better with 1st party. 1st party games are bytes because they know their system, knows it's strengths and weaknesses, and they can make a great game.

I don't like Nintendo, I like PS3 but not Sony and I don't like Xbox 360 but I kinda like microsoft just like I like mac and linux both for their good features but they all have bad ones...
Xbox is too hard to use, Nintendo games are too Nintendoey and PS3 has great racing games.

Too Nintendoey?

That I can agree on. Nitendo shines with first party, Xbox 360 does well with third party, and PS3 does well with exclusives.

I am stuck between Nintendo and Microsoft. Nintendo make great systems, especially for kids, and like has been said, makes the best 1st party games out of the three. Only problem is they have gone too far with making their systems kid-friendly, and sacrificed computing power to do so. Microsoft, on the other hand, make powerful, but not super expensive systems (I am looking at you, Sony!). They don't have the 1st party advantage, but almost make up for it with the extensive 3rd party support.

Does the Mega Drive/Genesis category include the CD and 32X?

I have an Xbox 360 and most Halo titles for it. My bro has Resistance 2 and Killzone on his PS3 and after comparison even he liked Halo better. Forza Motorsport 2 was better than Gran Turismo because FM2 also had a lot of customization along with the true racing feel.
The Wii has some great games like NSMB(New Super Mario Bros.)Wii. The DS also has NSMB. The problem with the PSP is that good games like NFS Most Wanted lose the fun factor because they are shrunk to fit.

I have never gotten to experience the Ps3 or XBox, let alone ever play them, I've heard they have good games, but I love Nintendo for the countless hours of training my Scizor (its a Pokemon, people), trying to get all 120 Shinesprites, and my all-time favorite game: Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.
........I'm typing this with my 3DS....
