i dropped mine a million times, my brother dropped mine a million times, and sometimes my ds lite dropped without me knowing why. it never got damaged or broke

Absolutely.
My friend's brother has a habit of stealing my games, beating the story in one night, and when I have to leave he screams and chucks them down the stairs. Man that boy's got problems. I'm older than him. 
My other (former) friend was babysitting and the little boy he was watching took his DS Lite and threw it at the wall. It still worked fine after that, despite the fact that the top screen was only held on by 2 small wires and the display became purple.

I've almost dropped my ds lite (I would say 6 times, perhaps) and everytime it was saved because it was charging and the cord stopped it.
My site Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

Maybe a wire had another color in it to even it out with the purple.
