For me, it looks fake. You usually don't get that type of hair coloring unless you bleach the hair, a process that's can be pretty dangerous, and most people use food coloring, not bleach and hair dye, to color the fur of animals.
But I meant did it look painted?
It's so easy to dye animal fur with household stuff, so I never use that as a basis for determining if the pic is fake or not. I once saw a green cat, and I thought it was fake, but it was real (the person used green Kool-Aid). So I use color intensity as my basis.
So unless the person was intentionally cruel to bleach the cat, I say fake.
Everything is better when you add a little cheddar, because when you have cheese your life is at ease

That's kind of just hanging at straws. I think it's probably fake, it just seems to stand out a lot and the colours are so bright.
