The official Blender thread

Post here whatever you want about Blender. Tutorials, How-To's, etc...

I'll start:

How to smooth out an Object

1. Go to edit mode (TAB)
2. Select everything, then W -> Remove Doubles
3. Press Ctrl+N
4. TAB again
5. Spacebar -> type in: "Shade Smooth", then press Enter
6. Press Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2, Ctrl+3 or Ctrl+4

I use Blender 2.49 (not 2.49b).  I think that this is Blender 2.5.
