If you look at the logo, you will notice a grey thing on the 'o'. If you are a real Mario maniac, you would know that that is a tail. And more importantly, the fox suit tail. This means that Super Mario 3DS will have the fox suit in it, a power-up that hasn't been in Mario games for a very long time. (Incase you don't already know, the fox suit is a power-up that turns Mario into a flying fox, which was first introduced in Super Mario 3, and it hasn't been used since.)
It is supposed to be a mix of Super Mario Bros 3 (because of the fox suit) and Super Mario Galaxy.
Here's some pics:

Looks awesome! But I will be getting the Wii U and not the 3DS.

I find it funny that in smaller, handheld consoles (like this one), they tend to shrink Mario down a bit. In Super Mario Galaxy on Wii, he looks taller.
This looks good, but you should also check out Paper Mario 3DS:

YEAH. They're going back to the TTYD style Mario. it was better than the SPM style.

Super Paper Mario was great! I played it before any of the other ones. I just recently downloaded Paper Mario from the Wii Shop Channel and I think the style is a little better, but both are still good. Haven't played TTYD yet, though.
Wish I could. Maybe I could get a Gamecube controller, so I can play it through my Wii. Anyways, I think the upcoming Paper Mario looks awesome and the graphics have definitely improved. I just hope they don't take out the dialogue and unique story plot like the other ones had.

I seems like an enhanced remake of SMB3 but with Galaxy elements in it. (notice the Galaxy Coin in the background)

Yes, I've seen that too. It looks pretty cool, but I don't think it looks as good as Super Mario 3DS. That's probably because I'm not a very big fan of Paper Mario. It's good, but I don't really like it that much.

Yes, there's a Galaxy Coin in the first picture with the rotating blocks and also in the one that shows the fox suit.
Actually, I think there's 2 Galaxy Coins in the fox suit picture... Not really sure.

No, those two are Star Coins from NSMB.
Okay, is this like a dream mashup or something?

Whatever, same thing.
It sucks because it doesn't look like you can turn into a statue in this game.
