No body?

How come NOBODY pays attention to me on scratch? like I'll make a forum topic, and don't even leave a single comment about my idea. And nobody likes my stuff. The only thing people like is my chicken chase. Will someone explain this? Because I am kind of getting bored of the scratch site. I used to get like 11 messages about every minute! WHAT HAPPENED? WAS IT BECAUSE I HAD TO TEAR DOWN MY GAMES?

Re: No body?

I think that people just stopped looking at your stuff once your project went off the frontpage. Don't feel bad if people don't reply to your threads, it happens to me too.

If you want more people to view your stuff then try learning how to make better projects  smile

Hi, I am Archmage coder extraordinaire. I do Scratch, pascal, java, php, html, AS2 and AS3. Leave me a message if you want coding advice. Also check out my personal website, lots of good stuff about web development, Flash, and Scratch (v1 and v2) !

and that's another thing! The front page! Bosox is hogging the whole front page!

He is in top downloaded, most loved, and most viewed, and he really does not have any other better games then your average scratcher! (no offence) But I think other people should have a chance. The only way I have been on the front page is by the newest projects. I don't want to, but I may leave scratch for a while until I get some good games.

I don't think you can blame him, he didn't put his projects on the frontpage himself. I've taken over the frontpage a few times as well  smile

I think there should be a restriction so that one user can't have more than one project on the frontpage at one time. But in the end, not everyone can have all the attention they want, because there is only so much to go around  smile

Yeah, but some other people want to get on front page, and he is "stopping" them on purpose or not. I would be glad if my stuff could be up there! Or I at least wish I got some comments...I am getting bored with having no scratchers caring about what I work hard on. Everyoen loved me when I had my old stuff... and then people say "Oh my gosh! This Is AWESOME!" and no love it's or fav's. oh well.

I think all that fame is going to your head. Bosox rightfully got up there, I am not his biggest fan but the majority likes his projects. Sorry - I'm really small-time! Never been on the frontpage!!!

Re: No body?

The key to success is just having fun. Scratch is a hobbie just like drawing, doing sports, etc. - you do it because you like it and you do it for your own enjoyment.
Don't expect massive attention from the internet community - instead, show your projects to your family members and friends, have them play with Scratch with you or ask them to help.  smile
Eventually you will discover more and more possibilities of Scratch and become a great programmer.

But if you are really desperate for attention I suggest you read these great tips by Lanie: http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=6555&p=1

http://i52.tinypic.com/5es7t0.png I know what you're thinking! "Neptune! Get rid of those filthy advertisements and give us back the Zarathustra siggy, you horrible person!" Well, don't worry about it, the Zara siggy will be back soon, new and improved! ^^ Meanwhile, just do what the sig tells you to. >.>

That's what I was trying to say, if you can convert f into n, then it isn't f anymone. (F=fun, N=numbers)

Re: No body?

Then you can rant, or you can improve your projects.

You don't have to listen to what some people say, they weren't there when you were working on your project, right? They're just ignorant people.
