How do you make your own block for your signature?

How do people make custom blocks linking to projects in their signatures?

Re: How do you make your own block for your signature?

The way I see most people use a scratch modification used BYOB, it is the easiest way.  wink

If you are reading this, please read to the end, because if you don't you won't know what's at the end. Don't just skip to the end though otherwise you won't be able to read the middle, which is most important. Now you must be wondering why you just read all that, the reason is you may have not noticed something, read it again and see if you notice it this time  smile

You can find the latest version of BYOB at byob.berkeley.edu.

Re: How do you make your own block for your signature?

My fav way is to code them first I open up the scratch browser then I go to scratch objects then scriptable scratch morph then class then blockspecs then blockspecs then go anywhere, if u want to be a control block click somewhere in the control key type a (' then type something. Like ('textgoeshere' #b or #c or #r if u want a stack don't put anything then code it this is hard 2 explain so here is an ex. My first working block was ('%L contains %s twice' #b #list:contains: 'list' 'thing'Twice) its funner and some if em actually work! [blocks]<poemon1>[/blocks]

Re: How do you make your own block for your signature?

I usually make them in Panther and export them as an image. I agree BYOB may probably be even easier!

Once you have the image on your computer you need to upload it to the world wide web using a website that you own (such as a free site like weebly.com) or an image host like photobucket or tinypic.

The website where you have uploaded your image to will give you an URL to your image. Copy this and then replace the text "your URL" below:

Code:

[img]"yourURL"[/img]

(note, no speech marks are needed.

Go to the top of the forum to "profile" and then under one of the tabs that appear you will be able to paste that code into your signature.

HOWEVER you are currently a new scratcher so you cannot post images or have a signature! You will have to keep posting helpful comments or asking more useful questions around the fora before you get your "Scratcher" status!

Hope this helps!

Wait. I've forgotten that you're a New Scratcher. Sorry, but currently there is no way for you to make your own block for your signature.

The problem is that becoming a new scratcher isn't how many posts you post, it is the activity. Want proof? Here: http://www.weebly.com/uploads/5/4/1/3/5413503/1234247.png?707
It is more activity, how often do you go on, and how long since you started. It is very complicated.  hmm  You can ask users to advertise for you, that sometimes works, especially if you say you will give them something (eg love-its or favorites) in return.

Because the rule was different then. You could have a sig after you had been registered for 15 days.  wink
