Stencyl

I am considering getting stencyl, but I have a few questions to ask you about it....

Is it free?
Is it easy to use?
Is it easy to learn to use?
Is it better than scratch?
Can it make complex games in an easier way?
Does it have a good graphics editor?
Is the community nice?


It uses scratch's 'puzzle block' style, right?

Is it easy to use? - Not really compared to Scratch
Is it easy to learn to use? - Maybe if you commit a lot of time...
Is it better than scratch? - Its not the same thing... Hard to compare...
Can it make complex games in an easier way? - No
Does it have a good graphics editor? - It doesn't have one  sad
Is the community nice? - Probably... Not as good as the one on Scratch though...

I just downloaded it, and it sort of seems like it was designed to be the logical "next step" from Scratch.

Main thing I was impressed with was that it has basic internet interactivity built-in as well as save handling.

I do have a large complaint though, the graphics editor is as frustrating as trying to play Street Fighter II with your tongue.
