For me, my attitude towards the rat depends on the rat in question. If we're talking about those cute little pet rats that can be bought from the pet store, I like them. 
If we're talking about those huge big-as-cats rats that infest the subway stations, not so much. 
Everything is better when you add a little cheddar, because when you have cheese your life is at ease

Speaking of rats, I watched the movie "Adventures in Babysitting" in class (It has the F word, and the teacher didn't turn it off when we heard it twice, awesome teacher huh?) and there is one scene where one girl loses her glasses and picks up a giant sewer rat thinking it's a kitten. The janitors tell her they have to kill it, and she screams because she thinks they want to kill a kitten that is really a giant sewer rat.
