So, I live in New Mexico. There is a fire going on in Arizona and my town is really smokey and hazy and smells like a camp fire. You can't see the sky even though there aren't any clouds. Is anyone else being affected by the fire? Does anyone live near the fire?

A year or two back, there was a big fire close to where I live. It was really smokey and the sun was red.

I live in CA. We had these really bad wildfires 2 years ago, and a lot of our friends had to evacuate. Know how you feel.

We're probably talking about the same fire. I live in CA too.

Maybe not then. I'm in southern California. There were some big forest fires a few years back though.

Many years ago (Um about 5 or so) there was this massive fire and it rained ash in the city and in all surrounding suburbs up to about an hour drive from the city. The fire was at least 50 min drive from the city.

did you know that it was probably a person's fault that it lit on fire?
nature only does it when things spontaneously combust
No, there's plenty of ways for a fire to start by itself. Lightning hitting a tree is an example, and with really dry weather, a large fire could spread like, well, wildfire.

Well, I think they went on all throughout the state. I just remember I could see the smoke from my house, and that it was May/June.
