Release timing???

I know the timing of a release makes a huge difference in the amount of people checking it out. Here are the options:

Is it better to release when scratch is at it's busiest moment? This would mean lot's of people will see your project in the "Most Recent" but it won't remain there for long.

or

Is it better to release when scratch is quiet and few people are logged on? This would mean your project will remain in the "Most Recent" much longer but less people are in front of the screen?

or

When scratch is at it's average?

What's your opinion?  neutral  ?

Re: Release timing???

When it's busiest.  The New Projects section is no longer designed so that projects stay on less when more are uploaded, now all the projects within a time span of being released are randomly put up in the three slots.  The more people are online, the more will get your project in their distribution and may click it.

Try refreshing the page- you'll get new projects.  After a few refreshes you might find a project you saw before.  It's because they're all being randomly set up.  Definitely release at the busiest time.

I'm back, and showcasing two new* projects!  Click left or right on the image below to see!

I agree with kilymeister. Best to post projects when it's busiest because even if it isn't on the front page people are more likely to stumble over it in the search (if you give it good tags).

Re: Release timing???

I'd agree that during "busy hours" is best - despite the larger amounts of projects being uploaded, you'll just get much more exposure and that many more chances for traffic on your project.
