You have a good point, using the code window an image of any size can be shared! Sadly code won't allow colour so it will be limited to B&W or greyscale using Ascii.

That's right! I now have made a new version of this system that deals with HTML rather than bbcode. The final image has some advantages and some disadvantages over the bbcode version.
Advantages
o Works on all websites
o No spaces between 'pixels' means that the image is as clear as the original.
Disadvantages
o does not work with Forum bbcode
o Uses a lot more characters to achieve the effect.
This system uses <div> tags with a selected background colour each to create little squares of colour one pixel wide and high. Each div tag sits snugly next to the one beside it, creating a full quality render of the original image.
Difference in sharing compared to a standard image
o No image host needed to share the image
o Takes a lot of characters so may not fit in many post spaces that take HTML.
Difference in viewing compared to a standard image
o Viewer can see the image, even if they have had all images on that page blocked by filters.
o Takes longer to load. The example below used to be a 972 byte image and now takes up 621KB of space in an HTML document.

Notes on current version:
o Not 1s1s like my earlier ones, instead I have expanded functionality.
o Includes an auto-crop system.
o can take an image as large as 480x344px
o includes a transparency option that turns the current stage colour into transparent during conversion.
Further development
The loading bar on this project showing conversion progress isn't working.
The more efficient script (included but not active) that groups matching colours together seriously speeds up conversion time but currently fails to convert the image properly.
