I am in public, and I am in the top 5% of the students. I have been able to do multiplication since 2nd grade, and division since 4th. Who says that all public-schooled kids are behind?

At my school there's a first grader who can do multiplication and division

I learned to do it the summer after first grade.

Re: Homeschoolers Thread.

Public school sucks.
There's always a bunch of idiots in every year that think they're IT. I could smash their heads together, I swear.
Then again, if I was homeschooled I'd go mad cooped up inside all day, and most of my friends live 3+ miles away. I couldn't walk it every day just to see them  sad

Of course you know I'm homeschooled.  smile
Next year for 8th I'm starting pre-cal.
I did a bit in late 7th but it was easy stuff like functions.

I like being able to do GOOD math. In a public school you are either struggling or behind from what I've heard. I once saw their curriculum... High schoolers learning about mean, median, mode, and range??? I learned that in fifth grade! I mean C'mon world! WAKE UP

lol. I learned that a long time ago also.  big_smile
I do the Saxon math. Its soooo long. But its advanced. I'm going to do 9th grade math in 8th grade.  cool

I'm in public school. Next year, I will go up 3, yes, 3, grades for math.

big_smile

Public school FTW

Congratulations!

I take advanced math at school

9th grade math outside of school

and my dad's going to teach me 11th grade math at home.

Let's hope this doesn't go too far... xD

I go to public school (and love it) but I have some friends who are home-schooled and are pretty dang awesome. I've got a question for ye home-schoolers: do plan on homeschooling all throughout school or are you going to switch to public or private for middle school or high school or something? Just wondering.  tongue

Home-schooled. You wouldn't be able to spend 12 ( O.o ) hours on the computer if you weren't.
