1. I first heard about Scratch from a friend, which later never even got into Scratch much.
2. My first project is still online! It was really hard at first because the variable pane glitched and the 'make a variable' button didn't show up (back in 1.3). So I took a sample project by archmage and completely redid it (but this time I had the variables!). I figured out how to use broadcasts after a long while.
3. I didn't know anyone that had an account on Scratch yet. I started from Scratch (ehm, scratch) and built my way up!

1. I was recommended it by my dad, who's into programming.
2.I had to overcome a few problems, but I soon figured stuff out - It features a rectangle that shoots zombies.
3.Not really but after I joined I found out one of my mates had a user.
Why do you want to know?

1. School. My friend did a project, and showed it to our class.
2. I had an idea, but didn't know how to change the backgrounds then so it wouldn't have worked. I just changed the idea a bit and made the original when I figured out how to change the background the next day.
3. Just about everyone in our gifted class back in elementary school made an account after he shared it. I'm the only one who's really still here though.

I found Scratch when my friends were like, "You gotta go on Scratch! Scratch is awesome!" but they didn't think i actually would, so... it was a good surprise for them.
My first project was about the class pets at school... they had a race in the project and the tortoise won!
And I did know a lot of people. In real life.
I'm not that new a Scratcher.

1. Googling a game. Turned out someone had Scratched it, so I was like "Huh. This is cool!"
2. It's called Doodle. I forget what is was like as a creator, but I was messing with pen and motion blocks and eventually I came up with Doodle. Probably was inspired by Wheee or whatever that sample was with the circles and the stamps and the sliders.
3. Yes. My friend from Scouts, on as "thebox", and my friend(s) from school on as... on as..... I forget.
A question of my own: How did you come up with your username?
4. Because, well Scratch is the best!
