Yeah. There was this giant (about 60 x60) cave with lots of lava in which had some long grass.

Na, hey Markyparky? Could you give this project A love-it?

There seems to be a common goal amongst gamers: making Minecraft: Source. The one bad thing about it is that everyone's doing their own thing. There should be one centralized project.
Thoughts?

What is Minecraft: Source? I can't find any info on it.

Porting Minecraft to the Source engine. It's a relatively obscure project. There are two reasons for porting/recreating it.
1. Having Minecraft easily accessible in Source allows modders to easily use Minecraft-related material in stuff like Garry's Mod machinimas.
2. Java is a CPU memory hog, while C++ isn't (as much). Yay!
Here are some examples:
This not only shows a higher resolution version of Minecraft in Source, but also shows porting Source weapons to Minecraft!
Part 2 of previous example.
This channel shows various Minecraft stuff ported to Source in a more true-to-the-original form.
This is a Minecraft map ported to Portal.
This is a machinima about Minecraft and TF2 made in Garry's Mod.

I came up with an idea
Doll
When you hold it, it would look like the drawing of the doll above^
But when you put it somewhere it would look like a small white stitched-face minecraft player

Why would you want a scary doll sitting there?

I tried to install a mod, and minecraft blackscreened. I then removed all of the mod things, and it still doesn't work.
I'm afraid I may have deleted something wrong.

Follow my mod guide!
First download Winrar.
Go run %appdata%
WITH the %'s!!!
If you are using windows 7 there will be a roaming folder, go in that.
Go into ".minecraft"
Go into "bin"
Rightclick on the thingy called minecraft.jar Note: Minecraft must be closed
Open it with Winrar
Unzip your mod and modloader.
Now, leave that up and go into your modloader file.
Drag those files into the minecraft.jar
It should ask you if you want to copy them in, hit yes.
Drag in the mod files. If it is a good mod it should have a folder called "Jar files" Or similar. Or maybe just files sitting there not in a folder.
Drag in those files.
If there is a folder called "recourses" we will get to that later.
Now, there is a folder called "META-INF"
Just outright delete that.
You may now close the minecraft.jar
Now, if there is a folder called "recourses" inside the mod folder you will need to do the following.
Go back into the ".minecraft" folder.
Now go into "recourses"
Copy and paste the files in.
Play!

I have a great idea for a server, but I can't host one on my laptop.
Does anyone want to host one with me?
