I don't know Linux personally but I know one of his offspring, Ubuntu. Ubuntu is great, as an offspring of Linux with that terrific DNA that Ubuntu inherited is what really makes Ubuntu truly great. I haven't know Ubuntu personly very long, only since Ubuntu was 9. Still it has been a magnificent experience and such an honour to meet Linux's child.

I met Windows, he wasn't very nice. He went blue (with white text) in the face when I didn't do what he wanted.

I don't know Linux or Ubuntu, but I know Ubuntu's brother, Linux Mint. He is certainly very nice.

Ubuntu is a very nice guy. He's the best OS in my opinion. Lol. I have Ubuntu Maverick Meerkat AKA 10.10. VisitUbuntu.com to learn more about Ubuntu.

I met Ubuntu and he was nice...but when he sleeped, he looked hideous (GNOME Screensaver). So then after getting stuff, I gave him a new sleeping face (XScreenSaver) and it looks WAY better than the old one.
But I met Windows a LONG time ago when Windows was 4 (Win95), then later when Windows aged a little (Win98SE). After a few years, I met Windows again when he was at version 5.1 (WinXP) and knew him as that until he was 6 (WinVista) but eventually went back in time and met him at 5 (Win2K) and loved him at that age. But no matter what age, I always loved Windows. He was nice, but sometimes we got into minor skirmishes (UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME BSOD in XP caused by corrupt boot sector that got fixed through Windows Recovery Console.) I also came to see him with newer technology at age 4 (WinNT4 Workstation) and loved his sound card's ultimate 16-Bit MIDI pwnage (MIDI on a SoundBlaster 16) but that was just virtual reality (was installed in a VM).
EDIT: And, of course, I met Windows at age 7 (Win7) and he was still nice. I also met Windows at ages 1, 2, 3.x and 3.5x with new technology (Win1, 2, 3.x and WinNT 3.5x) and Windows was always nice. I have yet to visit Windows at age 3.1 with the new technologies (WinNT3.1) but Windows would not be nice in the install process. (M$ and their 1,000 Floppies Required thing...AHH!)
EDIT 2: But if you really want to know a mean guy, try Windows' half-brother OS/2. OS/2, at no matter what age, would be very cruel during installation. Talk about a mean OS...

I haven't met Linux himself, but I've met his younger brother Ubuntu. He was a pretty cool guy, although when he fell asleep I had a hard time getting him to wake up. He seems simple on the surface, but let me tell you, he gets pretty hard to understand, so you really need to take time to get to know him.
