Don't feel too bad about it. In 5th grade, I studied for hours with words like seismograph, and I got knocked out of the competition for "reign". I wouldn't have stood much of a chance anyway, because there was this fancy school with these kids that all showed up in these stereotypical navy blue school uniforms and won all of the places on words that weren't even in the dictionary yet. *Cringes*. I still wish I could have done better.

Yeah, I lost on receive in the third-grade spelling bee  sad  I knew how it was spelled, too, but I panicked.

It's so painful. I feel even worse for this one girl, though. They did a warm-up round where you could still be eliminated if you weren't paying attention or were really nervous and spelled something wrong. She got out at cocoa. In front of a horde of FPSK (Fancy Private School Kids, that is). I hate that stupid "i before e" rule. I was nervous on "reign", so my mind instantly went to the rule. Two years later, I still hold a grudge on that rhyme.

so know people are fancy just because they go to a private school? sounds like someone is being a stereotypical jerk  mad

here's how

1. get a red bull x2010 s vettel tune it to 1800bhp
2. set tranmission to max
3. drive it down the le mans straight  (650mph)
4. Don't brake when I reach corner
5  I just go thru the wall
6. Then the car goes potty accelerating from 650 to 1000000000000000mph in about 3 secs
7. Then my PS3 crashes completly and gives me THE YELLOW LIGHT OF DEATH

NOT HAPPY

So I lob my controller and it bounces off my bed into my £3000 3D TV that was only 1 week old and it went straight thru it bounced off the wall and exploded my expiremental bomb right next to my computer.

Kaboom made a massive hole in the wall, and complitly oiberated my tabe and computer

Are you crazy?

I know it sounds kinda stereotypical, but truth is: majority of Private School kids are a little more classy than public school kids. I learnt this when my friend swore at a bus of Private School kids as they passed our bus stop in a minibus: any of us rabble from public high school would have let rip with swearing and abuse back, they gasped at us, shocked.

I go to a private school. So don't get all worked up about it. Not that the kids THEMSELVES being fancy, the SCHOOL having really good teachers and really smart kids. And those kids were geniuses, or at least the ones I was against at the spelling bee. I'm jealous of them.

Oh, there is definitely cussing at my school. A LOT. Sixth graders use the MOTHER OF ALL SWEARS. That particular school fit the stereotype, though. And they weren't snooty. They told us we did a good job on the way out. And did I ever say being fancy is a bad thing? Fancy is not a bad thing. Stuck up is. People misinterpret what I write on here, really. One person gets mad about something I wrote and the rest follow. I love fancy. I'm sorry if people misinterpret it as a synonym for snobby. Fancy has gotten a negative connotation...  sad .
