Re: Make-believe languages

My mom's friend used to speak Ob. You can probably crack this one easily. Try to figure this out:

Sobo, thobis obis thobe lobangobuobagobe obof Obob. Nobow cobongrobatobulobatobiobons obon crobackobing thobis cobodobe. Nobow obask yobooboursobelf whoby yoboobu spobent oball thobis tobimobe dobelobetobing thobe obobs obin thobis.

And who could forget pig latin:

Re: Make-believe languages

I find constructed languages (conlangs) most interesting.  Maybe a year ago, I read this book about them and found it quite good  smile

The sobo one is:

So, this is the language of Ob. Now congratulations upon cracking this code. Now ask yourself why you spent all this time deleting the bobs in this.

The pig latin:

This, of course, is Pig Latin.

It translates as this:

Carry me always, carry me well. I am thy teacher of herb and spell. I am thy link to power arcane. Forget me, and thy magick shall wane.

Ten times ten commandments there be. They will answer every mystery. Cures, curses, alchemy. These secrets shall be thine, through me. But Fairy, remember this, above all, I am not for those in mud that crawl. And forever doomed shall be the one,  who betrays my secrets one by one.

Gnommish? I used to be able to read it.

When I read 'those in mud that crawl' and 'Fairy' I knew it was Artemis Fowl.
And it's translated Faerie.

Re: Make-believe languages

I have an ingenious language in which all of the words are translated to "nwop".

Nwop nwop (nwop nwop nwop nwop) nwop nwop nwop? Nwop nwop nwop nwop...  nwop nwop nwop nwop nwop nwop. Nwop, nwop nwop nwop nwop nwop!

Also, I read this inspiring quote on the internet! I'll translate it into Nwopspeak.

Nwop wrote:

Nwop, nwop nwop nwop nwop...nwop nwop nwop, nwop nwop nwop nwop; nwop nwop nwop.
