A better censor?

I feel that Scratch needs a better censor.  At the moment if you right something such as *
it will censored as soon as you post it.  However if i put [b][/b] tags inside the word: wtf or any other bbcode in that format, it wouldn't be picked up as the word that the censor needs.  Also, you can see the word as soon as you quote the person.  This means that while it's censored, all you need is knowledge of BBcode, or tell the person to 'Quote' yourself.  Meaning that the censor isn't nearly as effective.

Re: A better censor?

I just realised, that this is because it's using the PunBB censor...  Is there anyway that this could be fixed?

Re: A better censor?

Yes, and easily too.
you could simply take out all tags, censor the words, and put the tags back in.
