Rnd function
I don't know if this is advanced or not, but does scratch have a random function (This means if i ask pick a number and someone puts some number 1-8 it randomizes the action assigned to the numbers. ) If this isn't advanced you can move it 
Visual format would be rnd. ( I programmed before using visual basic. scraatch is much easier)

Try the 'pick random (1) to (10)' block.
