Heyy, it's Dan01
I have decided to put an idea of Archmage's into practice.
To become popular at scratch, according to Archmage, the best way to do it is to start with a good mario project, and then pokemon and naruto stuff.
I am putting this to the test, in order to see if he is right
_= Progress =_
Starting Mario Game.

I spent a lot of time about getting top loved of all time. Archknight's Adventure has actually an attempt to get at the top of the top loved list but it didn't quite work out. I thought that if I made a game that was of significantly higher quality than all other games on the site then it would be top loved. I am trying this again with the phoenix wright game but I don't think it will become top loved (it will probably pass AA though). There is no better time than now to get a project to the top loved list. It is a lot easier to get tons of love its just because there are a ton more people using the website. I figured that the game that has the best chance of getting top loved of all time would be a super smash bros game that features a lot of people favorite characters (eg naruto, mario, pokemon). There are a lot of bad ssb games out there but none get much attention because there are all of poor quality. You need to make a game that is at least as good as super smash flash (which is a * flash game in my opinion) to get top loved of all time. I am fully capable of programming such a game, but I would need a lot of custom art and I can't draw.
If you ever find people who can make good ssb sprites then I'll work with them and ultimate fame will be ours!

I could rip sprites by myself, but if I am going to make an SSB game then about 50% of the graphics are going to be original.
Also, most internet sprite sheets are not good enough for a SSB game. Here are some sprite sheets from the spriter's resource that meet my requirements.
http://www.spriters-resource.com/nintendo/ssb/project/display.php?file=mrgw.png
http://www.spriters-resource.com/nintendo/ssb/project/display.php?file=../../../konami/mg/mg_snake.png
http://www.spriters-resource.com/nintendo/ssb/project/display.php?file=smashkirby.png
I am not even sure the snake one has everything.
The sprites you uploaded are definitely not good enough.
Look at this flash, http://www.widgetbox.com/widget/super-smash-flash-2-demo-v03a
You will see that you use many different attacks while most sprite sheets give you about 5. For instance, mario has 5 non-special air attack, front air, neutral air, up air, and back air.
Take a look at the kirby sprite sheet
http://www.spriters-resource.com/nintendo/ssb/project/display.php?file=smashkirby.png
That is exactly what I need for every character.

Well I would love to work with you if you ever decide to make this. I could extract some sprites now if you want.

Ripping sprites doesn't really take any effort so I want to do that myself. I need people who can actually make sprites and backgrounds.

Sorry man, but if I am going to do this I am going to do it properly.
If I ever do make this I will do all programming and sprite ripping so all I really need is some custom art.

Yeah, good luck with that.
Here is a link to some really good sprites for an ssb game http://mcleodgaming.com/ssf2sprites/
They are all animated gifs so that makes it easy to import them.

Some of the animations won't go into scratch, and idea why? I'm using the click and drag method.

Save them as a .gif. Make a new sprite with any old costume. You will delete the costume later. Click import costume: Then the GIF. All of the frames should come into that sprite. Delete holder costume.
Offline
When you import the animated gif it will break it into different costumes.
Offline
I dunno, try emailing the scratch team or posting in troubleshooting.
