BTW my latest work is here. Still in progress but it is all open source (View source of the page). It currently gets tiles and then renders them in patterns to make maps.
If its not working, I am probably editing it. (BTW it uses HTML5 so wont work on IE).
Oh, and there is no moving around yet!
cool!

I'm assuming we're doing this in JS. Just one question though: can we use HTML5 canvas? I'll start programming once I've got an answer.

wow! I must say you're ambitious!
Please can you make sure that it works with the 3DS? I'm getting one this year and it will be a.... ANNOYING PAIN IN THE BACK.... if it don't work. I'm 10 and only know html bbcode and a tiny, tiny bit if C AND C++.
Anyway, if it does work for 3ds, scratch pictures willbe 3d.
Here ar my ideas:
Save:

| |_ ? Blocks

|_Save to wireless
|_ Connect to computer
|_ Save to 'Dropbox'
|_ Save quicklyCan't 3ds support 2d? The project has to be a 3d project to go 3d
Well normal scratch isn't 3D, but we might give it a try...

Key codes are important for DSi Scratch, so here's a table:
Code Button
13 A
37 Left
38 Up
39 Right
40 Down
EDIT: Can I help? I know Javascript, and even if I don't know a few commands, I will search for the commands on w3schools.

BTW As you develop this ONLY use web-safe colours. My demo above doesn't use them and it does not work on all systems. (Such as DSi) (Can anyone work out if it works on a IPod? Are the images normal?)

2. yeah.
3. dont worry! you can be 3DS tester! EDIT: I'm 10 too!
4. they dont have to be 3D, but it would be cool if it does become 3D!
5. cool EDIT: I am making it so it saves online!
Hi. I own a 3DS. Here's what I say:
1. The 3DS Internet Browser and eShop will be released on 7 June.
2. THE INTERNET BROWSER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DISPLAY IN 3D!
3. If you make a DSi version, that should work fine on 3DS too.
There. That's sorted. Add 3DS to the picture. (can I be a 3DS tester too?)
EDIT: I'm 10 too.

I knew all that already. It's the others that don't understand.

EDIT#2: Nah, DSi is enough.

Yup! In fact, it's gonna be Creative commons licensed for people that want to make mods!

Thank you... BTW The DSi has limited canvas support so don't use too many images!

Well, only use canvas on systems that support it... like DSi (XL), but not DS (Lite).
