Scratch Rating system idea

I think that instead of deleting projects and banning users for inappropriate projects the user should give the project a rating before uploading it to the scratch website. Then, if your old enough to see it you will see it, but if your not it will say something like,"Sorry, but your not old enough to see this project. Thank you, and Scratch On!"

The ratings would be like this:
3-:3 and under
E:Everybody
E10+: ages ten and up
T: Ages 13+

Anybody agree with me?

It's my birthday. Deal with it.

Nope.

Been proposed, but whats to keep some little kid being scarred for life for lying. Better we keep the site all ages.

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

+1 to soupoftomato. I wouldn't want some jerk to upload a project with #$^%^ in it...

+1 to Soupoftomato also...If the Scratch Team did this then people would not have the "younger people" boundary to stop them...

+1 to the last three posts.
If this feature was implemented people could decide to share good projects only to a certain age range, abusing the system. Not good.

Re: Scratch Rating system idea

Agreed with scimonster. Scratch is a site for all ages, period. Five year olds can't be expected to make mature decisions based on ratings.
