Sorry I am asking so much but how about the others?

Dune- Another SciFi.  Paul Atreides learns about the culture of a people living on a sand-world and becomes their leader while plotting to overthrow his family's enemy, the Harkonnens.

Nation- Dunno what genre this is.  Fiction I guess.  Mau, a boy living on the Mothering Sunday Islands finds his world shattered after a huge wave kills most people in the archipelago.  The King of England's daughter is caught in the wave and washes up on the island, Nation.  Together they build a new tribe.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy- Hilarious space series where Arthur Dent is taken across the universe after the Earth is destroyed.

The Hobbit- Adventurous and slightly humorous tale of a hobbit that goes on a journey with dwarves to slay a dragon.

Animal Farm- Animals rebel against Farmer Jones and set up their own farm.  Allegory to the Russian Revolution, or revolution in general.

His Dark Materials- Fantasy trilogy, very hard to explain, an alternate world where all humans have external souls called dæmons, anti-religion, tells of a war between heaven and the living, and the near destruction of the essence of life called Dust.  Beautifully written, highly recommended.
