The Scratch Team is going straight to Scratch 2.0 instead of making a 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, etc. Scratch 2.0 is expected to be out later this year.

There isn't a set date for 2.0 (not 1.5) but I guess it will come out later this year. (maybe late summer or autumn).
Edit: Wow, this post was the 50,000th post on the all about scratch forum.
