Hi, Trekkie2000 here. (Posting on my alt to get a siggy for it.) I recently noticed that many good scratchers are at a point where they're having trouble coming up with projects. Therefore, I'd like us all to put our heads together for these scratchers to come up with some project ideas. When you come up with one, post it and I'll add it to list. I hope we can help a lot of stuck scratchers (Including myself) with this.
Easy. These projects are for people just starting out with scratch that need something to start with.
Mouse avoider-A simple game with a sprite that chases the players mouse, often with either increased speed or increased chasers.
Story/movie-Always fun to do! Helps young scratchers get the hang of the Broadcast blocks.
Maze-Pretty self explanatory, and this isn't just for beginners. I've seen some pretty cool maze games by pretty cool scratchers.
Simple platformer-Sure the first time around your gravity sucks, but platformers are a great welcome into the bit more complex games.
Intermediate-For people who are getting the hang of all the blocks, and are trying to make some cool games.
Intermediate platformer-Good levels, unique approach, and interesting enemies are all part of a great platformer. Also, try to learn how to make your gravity more realistic.

Crud. It looks like my edit button's broken, so Ill have to make the list through my main.

Simulation-A game that makes creatures, robots, or whatever, walk around your screen (for the most part) by themselves. Very little player interaction.
Pens-Always fun to do. Take a pen, tell it to randomly move around, or apply a math function, or something.
Scroller-Some scratchers make these look easy... and they basically are! Just one script for each terrain, and its a matter of copy and paste. Look up a tutorial. I learned how to make scrollers in 4 minutes, including the download time on my really (REALLY) sucky computer.
Hard- You're now a great scratcher! but what to do next? I mean, you know all the basics and you can script a scroller in seconds... If you're out of ideas, try some of these.
Sandbox game- A game where you're basically God. Fairly difficult to make a good one because you have to make all the creatures & people interact with each other
1S1S games-one great example of this is LINE. A game, usually a platformer, that has only 1 sprite, and 1 script that does everything.

How about a game where you are like a god and you create a planet. You can add trees,mountains,rivers,lakes...AND THEN YOU CAN PUT LIFE ON IT(like humans, animals) and the humans start building and stuff but the animals just run around everywhere. If someone could actually make such a game it would be the best game ever...on Scratch of course.
