???
My friend's had hers for about 2 years, they haven't gone out yet, my sister's PS2, went out after a week.
HMM...then it must be the usage. I use my L&R buttons on my DSi ALOT, but not as much on the PS3. Not PS2, PS3.

My sister was, strangely enough, using a PS3 controller on a PS2. I wonder how she got that to work...

Why are you comparing old console games to new handheld games?
That's not fair. I mean, comparing a * old handheld game nobody's heard of to Black Ops is unfair, so why are you doing that?
Portal 2 is way better than Mario's Fun House. I think it came out for the first gameboy.

I think consoles, because of course, better graphics, better games, better multiplayer, better EVERYTHING.I'm trying to prove that neither consoles or handhelds are better than each other; it's a matter of opinion.

I like the DSi, but I have to agree with that.
And if they don't work, it's harder to play half of the games they have.

And on another note, when we talk about consoles, we are talking about the current generation of consoles. Not the NES, the Wii. Not the PSOne, the PS3. Not the original Xbox, the Xbox 360.

It was probably the fact that she WAS doing that. I mean you have to hack into the controller and do all sorts of evil things...

But you can also compare a brand new console game to an ancient handheld game. I'm trying to prove it doesn't matter and it's a matter of opinion.
And it's easy to fix broken LR buttons.

Depends on which game you play though. Pokemon HeartGold vs...let's say...Where's Waldo?
Where's Waldo isn't even a console game.
How about, Halo Reach against, say, Pictochat?
Ha.

Handhelds. While it is fun to sit and waste several unproductive hours leveling up on MW2 or Reach on the PS3/360, you can't take that experience and put it on a handheld. Well, you can try, but it won't be as fun as if it was on the console. Try CoD: World at War for DS and PS3. It's more fun, more immersive on the PS3 than the DS, not just because of Zombies, but because of the way it's presented and how well it plays on PS3 compared to the DS version. Certain games are better for the handheld, others are for Console.
PC gaming also beats Console gaming anytime. Pretty much everything is released for it, and you get oddly fun games such as Minecraft on it. You just need a powerful enough PC for that to happen.
tl;dr, Handhelds + PC gaming.

Which do YOU prefer?
I prefer handhelds, because...
Well, that's self-explanatory.
LTS originated on a handheld.
Handhelds - 2
Consoles - 3
Handhelds. I cannot play on anything else.

In that case, I think PS3/XBOX360, cuz PS3 has 3D Dot Game Heroes, a great parody, and it has LBP2, and the 360 has Halo Reach. You can't question the awesomeness of Halo Reach.
XD Just look at my sig!!!

That's not a parody.
No that it was good
Anyway, if a handheld gets an exclusive, it's most likely a good exclusive (something the devs think will only work on that system).
