Is it possible to miss something you've never had?

Whenever I hear old Pokemon music (with the exception of LT; that is a different story) I get this...feeling. A sort of sad one. Like I'm remembering something.

But I wasn't alive in the 90's...

Am I just being sensitive to others' emotions (look in the comments of one with the Pallet Town track) or am I just rembering 2003 when I first watched the anime? I couldn't possibly remember playing a game (it's a different feeling then remembering something in the past week) because I haven't played one...

But I'm missing something. Could it just be from some old computer game and the music is similar...no...that couldn't be it...

Have you ever felt that way about something?

Oh, and a cookie for the person who finds the hidden, rather glitchy message.

I guess you can.

I miss the days before my birth.
I miss my 18th birthday.
I miss climbing up Mt. Everest.

No, you can't miss something you've never had. You can want something you don't have though. Don't confuse the two

Re: Is it possible to miss something you've never had?

That's not quite what I mean...

I remember something, and the memory is triggered by the music. I don't know what I remember, but it's there.

And it makes me want to cry...

So you don't always write in red! Well I can see that you tried to but you forgot to close the BB tag.  big_smile

I wanna go back to Pallet Town...

That's the only clear thought I've gotten.

Re: Is it possible to miss something you've never had?

It's like...It's like I was a gamer......in 1997....There was this box...Yellow.....

That's all I can remember. Maybe it was a dream from all these years ago...I used to dream that I was my brother. And he once borrowed Pokemon Yellow from a friend......why is it so hard......but why am I missing it? I never played it.

Not quite what I mean.

What am I remembering?
Probably when my brother borrowed his friend's Game Boy Color.
But I never watched him play much...

If you want a cookie, look at the first post and find the "hidden, rather glitchy message."

Yes. Yes it is.

Maybe it's just the music tune that is a sad melody?  I've never heard this, so...?

No, it's all old music from the Pokemon games.

This one especially.
