What's your 10-chapter book about?

Don't worry, it's not about that.

And Sunrise-Moon, I was trolled from the very start. THat's why I got rid of the VERY creepy element...

And werdna, I'd say they're about...5 full pages long each? Yeah, the book's about 50 pages long.

Not bad. I'd like to see it, if you want to post it.

What I'm saying, though, is that you could've developed the story better and spaced the time between the threads better to build up suspense.

These kinds of questions are always a little dangerous in a public forum.

If people respond with "Yes it's great!" it's ok. But if they say no they don't like it, they have to do it very carefully and respectfully. Sunrise's comment above is pretty good. But others may not be able to say they don't like something in a way that's respectful. It's a bit of an art, one that few people on the webs have mastered (just look at the comments on YouTube).

By asking the question in this way, it's creating a situation in which it's likely that someone won't be able to answer the question respectfully. They'll then get reported, and possibly get in trouble.

But even though each Scratcher is responsible for how they choose to comment, we don't allow flame-bait topics because we've found that they lead to so much conflict that they aren't worth it. While topics like this one aren't clearly flame-bait, and don't break a specific rule, they're at least flame-kindling.

So rather than say "do you think I'm a good... [scripter, author, friend, Scratch celebrity, etc.]," it might be better say things like "What do you think of this [ thing that I made ]?" It's usually easier to give and get feedback when it's directed at the thing one has made, rather than who one is.

Well, I'm in a better mood today so I am probably less likely to react than last week. So should I rephrase that "I'd like to post a 10-chapter book I wrote i one PDF file, do you think I should?"

Sure, that'd be better.  But I think it'd be fine to just post it and ask for feedback. If people are not interested, then they don't have to view the thread or download the file.

The 10-chapter book isn't supposed to be creepy, so you don't have to worry about that.

There's a kid in my class who thinks he is a good author because he wrote a 60-page book, but honestly, I've read it and it's garbage.

I forgot to save so I have to write the last three chapters. Good thing I had them down in my author's notebook.

It's called Eternal Rain. My penname slightly references Pokemon, but not all people would recognize the reference.

Cool. I probably wouldn't recognize it because I only know the names of about ten Pokemon. (Out of curiousity I'll try to name as many as I can now... Charmander, Squirtle, Slowpoke, Eevee, um..... make that four.) (Oh wait! Pikachu. Five.)
