NOOOOOOOOO!!!! Ok, So I made this game I created that took me 2 nights. ALL night! I was about to finish up. It took me hours to work on even though I worked on it 2 nights. I worked on it all night and all day so it still kinda counts al=s a long time.
Ok so anyways, I have been REALLY scared about losing my file by accident because this took me forever. So I saved & saved & saved. It seems as though I'm too frantic. Anyways I kept on saving until Scratch froze and shut down unexpectedly! I didn't feel too scared because I knew I saved it... So when I tried opening my file it said something like: Cannot read file the file maybe locked.. Or something like that
I'M SO MAD I LOST MY FILE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What happened? Can I fix it? Is it something that is fixable? Has anyone else experienced this? I'M SO MAD!!!! NOOOOOOO WAHAHAHA!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHH > :'(
*sigh* I hope I can fix it...
Thanks

acourding to the error you got: 'Cannot read file the file maybe locked',you might have a croupt file,so you may need to start again.

I would shut down the computer and restart it to free up any locks that might be on the file. If the file still can't be read, it is probably corrupt and not recoverable.
In the future, it's a good idea to store backup copies as you work on a large project so you don't have all your eggs in one basket. I use the Save As feature quite a bit to make multiple versions of my project as I work on it.
I'm sory to hear you (maybe) lost a lot of work

I had the same message once with a project because the computer shut down while I was in the middle of saving. Could this have happened to you? Sorry but I haven't found a way to recover it yet.

In the future, make backups of your work. Every time you make a major change or addition, save it to another file.
