All my friends obsess over lauren and how they hate Scotty and stuff, but I hate country music, so I hate both of them. American Idol has gone down the tubes since Simon left. sad

I watched some of it.

I don't like country that much, but for country, both Lauren and Scotty can sing really good.

Everyone good got voted off. James, Pia, Casey, Hayley... that was the most boring finale I have ever seen in my life (and I have been watching ever since Jordan Sparks was on there.) This is the sort of thing that makes Idol experts (like me) cringe.

If I could choose the top five, I would have chosen:
James (He is REALLY GOOD. He should I have won)
Casey (I really like how he sings, and I like jazz/blues)
Jacob (I like gospel music)
Paul (Something about him I liked.... he was really quirky)
Hayley (I like her blues-ish style.)

I liked Pia too... but her biggest downfall was she didn't get the concept of preforming. And I totally agree with you on James. He's from my hometown. When he came back, at least 30,000 people gathered at the beach to watch him perform... something tells me his career isn't over.

I can't stand it either. Especially when SCOTTY sings it. I could TOLERATE Lauren to an extent, but just barely. The reason Scotty won was that there were millions of teen girls that fell in love with his constipated face. I agree with you on the list of the top five- although I doubt Paul could stay on that long. Too many people that want to be *normal*. Reason that James, Pia, and all those amazing people were beaten by the Countrybutts. That's what my family called them. My little sister, wisegirl4eva, called him Scotty McCreepy.

I love Scotty!!!

IMO, he's a better role model than Lauren, and a lot more mature and modest. I'm happy he won-he was a one-trick pony, but he was passionate about what he sang and he sang it well.

I know! Pia was my favorite too! I really thought she would make it far - but she's the only contestant I know of who got out and has a record contract and is making an album. Yahoo!
