Infinity Blade (Best iOS game. Period.)
Angry Birds (It's fun.)
Cut the Rope (Even though it's challenging, it's enjoyable.)
NOVA 2 (Epic FPS for iPad.)
Dead Space (The iPad version is amazing.)
I play on my iPad more than my iPod touch.

I like music studio but the full version is about $15 
I also like tiny wings, angry birds, cut the rope, textfree, and tap tap revenge.

As for Infinity Blade, I think that was a very large Hack 'N Slash RPG. Not sure about the HnS part.

It's a sort of hack n' slash game with fantasy characters. Intense, but bloodless.
