I would enjoy being curator. The reason I think I would be good at it is I would put up really good games, that only have two or three love its because they're made by someone who people aren't as familiar with. ()
That would be nice.
To get the smiley, you need to do .
I agree, scimonster. I'd also like to be curator because I like some projects that dont seem to be popular ( like my own. ). Also I'd appreciate it if someone curated one of my projects please! :-)

One month later (I think it's been)
Hmm... A curator seems like a big responsibility. I have now been on Scratch for I think about two years now. I was around when the curating began (Though I did not have an account). Since then I have wanted to be a curator, though that doesn't sound much different then the other one-thousand applicants. I realize that the Scratch Team want's a curator that will choose projects the community would appreciate. I believe that right now people want good animations, and games based on what I have seen. I will not choose projects now, but rather stage a contest where people can enter their animations, and I might choose them. I don't know if this is the way the Scratch Team would like me to do it. And I can change the way I select projects. There would be rules to entering the contest, like, you must have had an account for a month, the projects must have less than 100 views, etc. Now let's get to the checklist.

I believe that I check out. Also, I have been curated. So I know how I would want it done. If there is anything I have missed please inform me. Also, the Scratch Team wants a wide variety of Scratchers. They want gamers, storytellers, animators, boys, and girls. I am a slight gamer, but a great member in the community.

If possible I'd like to be a curator. I'd curate all sorts of projects mostly from scratchers who haven't had a really famous scratch project yet to give them a chance. i hope i can be curator eventually... i'd love to do it.

I would like to become a curator, even though I'm not likely to, because I only had an account since December, 2010. I still would like to become one. If I do happen to become a curator, I would like to put Imaginative, Creative projects on the front page, so people can see what you with just a little bit of Creativity and Imagination. I know I have a 1/1000000 chance, but I'm still going to go for it. Please regard this before you choose the next Scratch Curator.

I want to be one!
*TOP 3 REASONS AND 3 THINGS I WON'T DO IF I'M A CURATOR*
1. I notice a lot of unnoticed projects that really stand out
2. I won't pick my own projects to be featured on the front page
3. I like recommending projects to my sister, whose username is Diamondpaw, and she recommends projects to other scratchers. If I'm a curator, I'm doing sort-of the same thing.
4. I won't pick projects that are only by scratcher friends
5. Once I love-it a project I like, I think about how happy the scratcher would feel if he/she didn't ask for love-its (which I don't do, and I don't like when scratchers always ask for love-its)
6. I will only pick projects that deserve to be picked

I would like to be a curator for a bit. I would chose platformers, tutorials on how to sprite, and projects that have a lot to do with pen designs. Ive been on scratch for a few years already and know which projects would be worth curating.

Dear fellow Scratchers,
I would love to be a Curator for many reasons, but here are my top 10.
1. I will select many different types of projects.
2. I know many great Scratchers that are unheard of like:
Bronze Link: http://scratch.mit.edu/users/bronze My favorite projects by him are the Ipod ones .
Ja8eri Link: http://scratch.mit.edu/users/ja8eri
There are a lot more. Check out LunaLovegood's stuff!
3. As a curator, I would look every day and I would make a forum saying projects I should Curate. If the public like the project, I will curate it.
4. I will not only curate my friends' projects, but I will try and get the best.
5. I will never forget to do my job; not even once.
6. I will select Games, Art, Animations, Simulations, Music, and a lot more.
Well, I guess 6 is enough for right now! I need to leave, so I'll post 7-10 when I get back.
Bye!!!!
Please Select Me For The Job.

No offense, but your argument is great, but the concept of curator is to catch things unset to the public eye.

I would like to be one, but how do you make yourself be one?

Well, Lightnin picks someone who he thinks deserves it, then contacts them through their messages. Then they can accept, and often start a month or so later. However, it really helps if you give a good submission of why you should be a curator.

Hello, I'm RS1298. I want to be a curator very badly! I have been on scratch for about a year- and-a-half and I think I know a lot about the scratch community. I would choose projects that I think deserve to be recignised. I think that there are so many projects that deserve more attention, but they are ignored because of the more popular creators. I hope you can understand my point. Scratch On!
