Yep. Use scratch on DSis, IPods and more small, portable devices.
Take it EVERYWHERE.
With the power of... THE WEB.
But I need YOUR help!
So WE WILL build it not MIT!
BTW, it's priced $0.00
Go Everywhere Website
or scan:
If you have an R4 card for your DS, go to http://kitcatprogramming.net78.net/test … nloads.php.
You can become a developer- just ask- choose what type at http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic … 59#p774559.
You may get started on it, but I WILL START IT OFF lol.
Status: Designing - Status update
Hosting status: Working
The format will be just .xml files with basic code so the users' browsers dont crash.
We may implement a way to open normal scratch files with something like php. See more here.

Please read before asking to become a developer:
Advertisers are basically people that make advertisements.
Testers test on portable devices (eg. DSi, iPod Touch) that are not computers and have internet. It is limited to 5 testers per device. We may be able to create an offline app for some devices. We might have an feature to upload from computers to the website for editing on portable devices.

Do this:
Make a webpage
Scale it to device size
Make a canvass the same size as that
Then work out the zoom (50% or something)(of a standard scratch screen shown)
Make a viewer
Scale the viewer to the zoom ratio
And then your done!

EDIT:
Just change the browser, then everything will be compatible XD
wow! I must say you're ambitious!
Please can you make sure that it works with the 3DS? I'm getting one this year and it will be a.... ANNOYING PAIN IN THE BACK.... if it don't work. I'm 10 and only know html bbcode and a tiny, tiny bit if C AND C++.
Anyway, if it does work for 3ds, scratch pictures willbe 3d.
Here ar my ideas:
Save:
|_ Save as
| |_ Computer Scratch
| |_ ? Blocks
|
|_Save to wireless
|_ Connect to computer
|_ Save to 'Dropbox'
|_ Save quickly

I could program.

Easiest way of saving.
If Successor helps...
Make a mod and have Successor kit it out with the blocks he made me (scripting pane switching)
Make a new function: Export to scratch everywhere (File menu)
What it does:
1.) Makes new folder
2.) Writes a project summary into folder
3.) Exports all costumes for sprites into folder (can be done with the change script pane blocks and export costume functions)
This allows you a simple folder with all the data at hand... Which can be uploaded and used in your 'Scratch Everywhere' idea.
ALSO:
Request the topic name to be changed to 'Scratch Everywhere (Portable Scratch)' please!
EDIT:
If you need my help I know:
HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, PHP and a C++ (Although I am rusty on C++) - But I do NOT want to be taken on full-time (I'll help with errors and such)

BTW my latest work is here. Still in progress but it is all open source (View source of the page). It currently gets tiles and then renders them in patterns to make maps.
If its not working, I am probably editing it. (BTW it uses HTML5 so wont work on IE).
Oh, and there is no moving around yet!

I'm assuming we're doing this in JS. Just one question though: can we use HTML5 canvas? I'll start programming once I've got an answer.

Can't 3ds support 2d? The project has to be a 3d project to go 3d

Key codes are important for DSi Scratch, so here's a table:
Code Button
13 A
37 Left
38 Up
39 Right
40 Down
EDIT: Can I help? I know Javascript, and even if I don't know a few commands, I will search for the commands on w3schools.
