(You can't play GBA games on the dsi/3ds, which is a bummer. but the 3ds would be a good choice once the price goes down. i bet it will, just like the wii's did.)New console though.
dude i think you could still get them at gamestop

New Q:
Which is probably best of these two: Lite or XL?
My friend has the XL and he loves it....
XL comes with apps from the Dsi Shop and some other cool stuff and the screen is HUGE. I say XL. Don't get a lite when it has nothing the new systems have.

I personally think DSlite or DSi because 3DSs don't seem that great from what my friends say, and if you're going to get a DS you probably don't want the original DS.

If you want good graphics then get the lite over the i or i xl. All the i's do is enlarge the graphics and it looks very pixely.
My site Offline
1. Lite
2. DSi (in England)
3. Lite. you can drop it alot - one person accidently left it in a washing machine, still worked!
4. The DSi. All the DS games, + the DSiWare.

Hmmm...can't decide!

XL, because, while lite is good (i own both and since i got the XL my lite has been demoted to GBA XD) XL has the largest screen and the most content at its disposal, that is, if you're willing to let them make you bankrupt even AFTER you got it.

I have a DSlite, 3DS and a DSiXL. The 3DS only damages under 6 year-olds' eyes.

yes. yes it is.
considering it has a 3d screen, 3 cameras, a touchscreen, a gyro for motion sensing and power comparable to the wii it's not that surprising.

I say get a DSi. Not an XL. Just a DSi. It's not as expensive. It can do stuff (I'm stuck with a DS lite so I can't do things like use the video chat thing in pokémon black). It's cool.
