For me (on SSP) they just light the block they're on and nothing else.

I also hate how anything which is in shade is pitch black. (another bug)

I FINALLY FOUND DIAMONDS!  big_smile

I found enough to make a pickaxe, sword, and a chestplate. That's 22 diamonds in all!

You should have saved them until you found another two diamonds so you could make a full set of armor.

Well, I started to play again. I have finally found a use for lava, and made a somewhat basic lighthouse using one. I'm gonna make it prettier at some point. And I'm starting the underground mall.

I didnt even know you had mc  tongue  For lava, if you have a multistory house make a glass tube from top to bottom filled with lava. Its very cool.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I did. Luckily I found some lava above ground, so I didn't have to search for it.

My house is, once again, is carved out of a mountain (with a sun room). My other file (which I need to update from another computer) has an actual house, located in a "cave".

Thats pretty nice. I cut of the side of a mountain so its a cliff and made a glass wall by it. Speaking of tundras, I typed my name for a seed and I spawned on an island in tge middle of a frozen ocean. It was epic.

then look for a water current near some holes into a cave.

Those holes will hurt you, so just go down the water current, and there will be a enormous cave system!
