Appeal A Ban in Real-Time

Friday I got banned.  sad

We should have an option to be able to open a chat with a ST member or mod and attempt to appeal our ban. If its severe enough, you can disable the button that appears.

Back in my day.... there were no laws that censored the internet... now, there are.... nah.

Re: Appeal A Ban in Real-Time

Moderators have no control over who gets banned and who doesn't, and I'm not sure the Scratch Team can be on 24/7. You can appeal your ban in a strictly e-mail based fashion, through the 'contact us' form, already, though.

Took me 2 days for 11 emails to get through....

and something made me think one of the mods banned me for foul language, but I'm over that...

But you have direct contact to the ST. We can appeal to you and you tell the ST and they decide!

I actually have the exact same contact to the ST as you do.  wink  Quite often, the Scratch Team are very busy and can't immediately respond. So, I don't think it makes any difference whether you send one or eleven emails. In fact, I just got an email from the Scratch Team, with them responding to an email I sent them months ago.

Moderators are strictly not permitted to ban, unless under very specialized circumstances, for example, commercial spam, or an obvious troll.
