That is really annoying both the fact that when I post a link to my project in a gallery to try and get my project added to it it says "sorry you have posted a similar project recently" AND the fact that I am not a scratcher yet after a WHOLE WEEK!!! And I have 4 PROJECTS!!! THEY ARE BOTH SO ANNOYING!

I have a new thing called "Dino Points" (a form of currency) that all users of my RPGs (galleries) recieve for certain things. I am trying to tell them all of their points, but even if I change their names for each one and their dino points, it still says "Sorry, you have posted a similar message recently". It would be appreciated for you to take that off.

I got his permission to dod something simular, and I was doing the same thing and i tried every different word choice, And It was the link. I should be able to send all my friends a link to a new gallery. It was quite frusterating. It would be nice to have that taken off.

it's quite annoying. I'm wondering why in the world it's there in the first place. Is it to stop spam? I don't see how that would help. It is in the way for some people and has no apparent reason.

This has confused me. Sure its bad to have spam, but really, can't you just delete or ignore these comments? Its really not neccesary. Besides, a spammer could just type in random letters for this like "ioujasyet yau rtuad yflkasdhriutgvuhag jkestrgajethr uagdfuygae" and that would be spam but if you did "kjaseyhiftghftugjuyh" the next time, no message would pop up. In reality, this is simply something that annoys people and doesnt work and stops you from talking to your friends and giving them links.

I often attempt to say thanks or thank you to many people. Annoying to have to be more specific. I understand the reason for this rule's implementation, but it should be disabled on our own projects.

here's an idea: the message only appears if you put it on one person's stuff repeatedly and it excludes our own projects and galleries. most of all, even though we all know how to avoid the basics, links give it away. individual links should not be counted if my idea above cant happen.

Another point of the rule is to prevent saying "look at this project ____" on multiple projects.
That's why the rule goes on multiple ones.
Spam filters just addressed the symptom, sort of.
People spam the front page projects because that's where most scratchers are.
The "show and tell" forum is not dead simple to find or use.
I think a better way would be to make a easy and acceptable place (or places) to self promote: You can feature one of your projects to this place with a click, then you're invited to help others there while you wait for help/attention.
But an improvement to this error message would be show the message you tried to send, so you can copy and paste and try to fix it.
Many times I've typed a 500 character message, then I loose it.

spamming is only a link to an external site outside of scratch.

Spamming on the forums could also be posting something like this on topics: "Check out my project [link to project]."
